Classic Cheeseburger with Jalapeño & Raspberry Jelly

Ingredients:

  • - 500g minced beef.
  • - 1/2 red onion, finely diced + 1/2 sliced to garnis.
  • - 1 garlic clove, crushed.  
  • - 2tbsp Rebel Chilli Jalapeño & Raspberry Jelly + some to garnish.  
  • - 1/2tsp sea salt and pinch of black pepper.
  • - 4 burger buns.
  • - 4 slices of white cheddar cheese.
  • - 4 lettuce leaves.
  • - 4 gherkins, sliced.
  • - 1 tomato, sliced.

This is a really lovely snack.


Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 30 minutes | Difficulty: Easy.

Method:

  1. Finely dice half the onion. In a large bowl, mix together the beef, onion, garlic, jelly, salt and pepper.

  2. Divide into 4 and shape into patties.

  3. Grill the burgers for 15 minutes turning occasionally. Make sure they are cooked through and there is no pink meat in the middle.

  4. Top the burgers with slices of cheese towards the end to melt. Lightly toast the buns.

  5. Serve the cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, gherkins, red onion and some Jalapeño & Raspberry Jelly.
